Why Renovation Dust Is Different

Construction dust — from drywall, concrete, wood cutting, and sanding — is extremely fine. It infiltrates spaces that regular dust never reaches and coats surfaces in a thin white or grey film. It can also be mildly alkaline (from drywall compounds), which means it can damage surfaces if not removed properly. A regular cleaning visit simply isn't equipped to handle it.

What Post-Renovation Cleaning Covers

How Long Does It Take?

Post-renovation cleaning takes significantly longer than a regular clean. A 1-bedroom condo after a kitchen renovation typically requires 4–6 hours with two cleaners. A full-house renovation clean can take a full day or more. We price this at $50/hr per cleaner — the same rate as deep cleaning — and always provide a time estimate before we start.

What We Don't Cover

There are some services that fall outside the scope of post-renovation cleaning:

For debris removal, we recommend booking a junk removal service before we arrive. This lets us focus entirely on cleaning rather than sorting and hauling materials.

When to Book

Book your post-renovation clean after all trades have finished and before you move furniture back in. Access to empty rooms makes the job faster and more thorough. If possible, allow 24 hours after the last trade leaves — this gives the finest dust particles time to settle fully before we begin.
