Weekly Cleaning: Who Needs It?

Weekly cleaning makes the most sense for busy households with children, pets, or high foot traffic. If you have a dog or cat, weekly vacuuming is practically non-negotiable — pet hair and dander accumulate fast, especially on carpets and upholstered furniture.

Families with kids benefit enormously from a consistent weekly routine. Bathrooms get grimy quickly, kitchen surfaces collect grease and crumbs, and floors in high-traffic areas need regular attention. A weekly clean keeps everything manageable and prevents deep buildup.

Who benefits most: families with children, pet owners, people with allergies, homes over 1,500 sq ft.

Bi-Weekly Cleaning: The Most Popular Choice

Every two weeks is the sweet spot for most Toronto condos and apartments. It's frequent enough to stay on top of dust, bathroom grime, and kitchen buildup — but not so frequent that it feels like constant maintenance.

Bi-weekly cleaning works especially well for couples, solo professionals, and smaller spaces where one or two people live tidily between visits. You get a consistently clean home without the premium cost of weekly service.

Who benefits most: couples, solo professionals, condos and apartments, tidy households.

Monthly Cleaning: Light Upkeep

Monthly cleaning is best suited for smaller spaces with low traffic — a studio apartment, a home office, or a vacation property. If you're diligent about day-to-day tidying and just want a professional touch once a month, this schedule works well.

Keep in mind: the longer between cleans, the more time each visit takes. Monthly clients often need a deeper clean on the first visit to reset the baseline.

Who benefits most: studios, minimalist households, vacation properties, people who clean regularly themselves.

When to Book a One-Time Deep Clean

Beyond regular schedules, there are moments when a deep clean is simply necessary: before moving in, after moving out, before or after a renovation, at the start of a new season, or when hosting a big event.

A deep clean goes beyond the surface — inside the oven, inside the fridge, baseboards, window sills, light fixtures, and all the areas that regular cleaning skips. It's priced at $50/hr per cleaner (compared to $45/hr for regular visits) because it genuinely takes more time and effort.

Our Recommendation

If you're unsure where to start, we almost always recommend beginning with a one-time deep clean — so we establish a clean baseline — and then moving to a bi-weekly schedule. Many clients find that bi-weekly service quickly becomes something they can't imagine living without.

All our recurring clients receive a discount: 15% off for weekly, 10% off for bi-weekly, and 5% off for monthly visits. The more often we clean, the less time each visit takes — so it works out well for everyone.
